Willma King is an experienced safeguarding and learning development professional currently serving as the National Safeguarding Learning and Development Manager for The Church of England since May 2021, where focus is on transforming the Church's approach to safeguarding. Additionally, Willma has held roles such as Learning and Safeguarding Strategist at Transforming Ideas and Partnerships and Engagement Lead at the Department of Health and Social Care. Previous positions include Head of Childline Learning and Development at NSPCC Childline, and Head of Training & Consultancy UK at NSPCC, overseeing national safeguarding training services. Willma's early career includes significant roles at Relationships Australia (Qld) and as a multi-agency safeguarding coordinator with NSPCC & Oxfordshire Safeguarding Board. Willma's academic background includes a Master's degree in Professional Studies in Social Work from Oxford Brookes University and various other qualifications in social work, community services, and child protection studies.
