John Austin Ellis possesses extensive experience in the shipbroking and maritime industry, currently serving as the Regional Commercial Manager for the South Atlantic at The China Navigation Company since May 2017. Previously, John held positions at Braemar Seascope Ltd, focusing on Dry Cargo Shipbroking and specializing in Handysize and Supramax markets before transitioning to the Panamax desk. Earlier career highlights include working as a Ship Broker at Anglo Shipping, contributing to the shipping of bulk liquids and gases, and serving as a summer intern as a Client Accounts Manager at deVere and Partners, where responsibilities included client database management and customer service. John holds a 1st Class Honours M.A. in International Relations from the University of St Andrews, complementing a strong educational background from Knights Templar School.
