Kathryn (Kate) Ackerman, MD, MPH, FACSM, serves as the Director of the Wu Tsai Female Athlete Program and a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician at Boston Children's Hospital, a position held since July 2006. Additionally, Kathryn chairs the Medical Commission for USRowing and has been involved in female athlete, RED-S, and bone health research at Massachusetts General Hospital since July 2009. Prior experience includes working as an Endocrinologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital from July 2007 to June 2011 and completing residency and internship in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from July 2004 to July 2006. Educational achievements include an MPH in Quantitative Methods from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, an MD from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a BA in Government/Biology from Cornell University.
