Dr. Raúl Zambrano is a Senior Consultant with Chartis Clinical Quality Solutions, formerly known as The Greeley Company. He brings more than 19 years of consulting and healthcare experience to the firm, particularly in the areas of credentialing, medical staff relations, hospital operations, quality improvement, coaching, and telehealth. Raúl’s background and experience span a variety of areas that include PCMH and ambulatory primary care clinic operations, peer review, bylaws, physician leadership, and The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation. In his work with clients, he also brings expertise in conflict resolution, family medicine, diversity and inclusion, and public speaking.
Raúl is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice, a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice, and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is the recipient of the 2015 ACHE Thomas Dolan Executive Scholar Program, the 2018 National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives Leadership Award, and the ACHE 2020 Executive Recognition Program.
Raúl’s published works include: “The Value and Imperative of Diversity Leadership Development and Mentoring in Healthcare,” “Hydrogen Bonding of Carboxyl Groups in Solid State Amino Acids and Peptides,” and “Enhanced Physician Engagement.” Raúl is known for sharing his expertise through numerous presentations on leadership, career development, success in healthcare management, and diversity in healthcare. He has also volunteered as Chairman for the ACHE Physician Executives Community Committee.
Prior to joining Chartis, Raúl served as a Senior Medical Director for Oak Street Health, the CMO of Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana; the CMO of Aurora Healthcare in Kenosha, Wisconsin; Deputy and Interim CMO for VISN 7 in Georgia; and as the Chief of Staff for the West Texas VA Health Care System. Raúl has served as a leader for various Federally Qualified Health Centers and served in the United States Army Reserve from 2001-2012 with four deployments.
He received his Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, his Master of Science in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his Bachelors of Arts in chemistry from Columbia College.
