Neil Purohit is a dedicated social work professional with experience in various roles aimed at supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting social justice. Currently serving as a Summer Intern at The Century Foundation and the American Association of People with Disabilities, Neil has also contributed as a Student Advisor and Research Assistant at the Action Lab for Social Justice. Previous positions include a Social Work Intern at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where responsibilities involved assisting patients with navigating benefits and resources, and Youth and Transition Services Coordinator at INCLUDEnyc, providing coaching and support to young adults with disabilities. Neil's background also includes community organizing with Brooklyn Community Services and an internship with the New York Public Interest Research Group, as well as early experience as a Community Habilitation Specialist at Human First, Inc. Neil is pursuing a Master of Social Work at Columbia University, building on a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queens College and an Associate of Science from Queensborough Community College.
