Oscar Howie currently serves as Chief of Staff and Project Manager for the Executive Office at The Centre for Effective Altruism since April 2022. Previously, Oscar held the position of Chief of Staff at the Office of Lord Kakkar from February 2014 to March 2022, overseeing operations in Westminster, Whitehall, and the NHS, and worked as a Private Secretary, providing political advice and speech writing for health and constitutional policy. Prior experience also includes serving as Global Project Manager at the Thrombosis Research Institute from July 2011 to January 2014, where Oscar managed a medical research program across 35 countries, and as a Consultant at Detica, focusing on delivering and redesigning a government training program. Oscar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, obtained between 2008 and 2011.
