Michael Rodgers has over 40 years of work experience in various senior leadership and government roles. Michael started their career in 1978 as the Director of Bureau of Program and Field Operations at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. From 1981 to 1985, they worked as a Senior Professional Staff at the United States Senate. Michael then moved to the US Congress and served as the Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Housing and Consumer Interest from 1985 to 1987. After that, they joined the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (now called LeadingAge) as the Senior Vice President for Government Relations & Advocacy, where they worked for 13 years until 2000. Since 2000, they have been working at The Catholic Health Association of the United States as a Senior Vice President.

Michael Rodgers completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Mount St. Mary's University between 1966 and 1970. Michael then pursued further education and earned a Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and Counseling from the University of Scranton between 1972 and 1974.
