Greg Bisset has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Greg is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Cancer Council NSW, where they lead the Finance, Strategy & Operations Division, as well as the Cancer Council National Retail and Licensing Strategy project work. Prior to this, they worked at InvoCare as the Chief Operating Officer, where they led 1,500 employees through 8 General Managers in over 250 locations. Before that, Greg worked at Country Road Group as the GM Northern District & NZ, overseeing 35 locations, 43 department store concessions, and 600 team members. At Alshaya Group, they served as the Senior Business Development Manager, responsible for the design and implementation of the group's business development strategy. Greg began their career at Woolworths, holding various operational roles and project-managing the feasibility study for Woolworths' acquisition of the Country Road business.
Greg Bisset GAICD JP has an extensive education history that spans several years and covers various fields of study. In 1978, they enrolled at the University of Cape Town and pursued a Bachelor of Business Science degree, specializing in Marketing. Greg successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1982.
Following their undergraduate degree, Greg went on to further their education by attending the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. From 1986 to 1987, they pursued an Honours B. Commerce degree with a focus on Economics. This educational endeavor further enhanced their knowledge and qualifications in the field.
In 1995, Greg enrolled at the Stellenbosch Business School to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Greg completed their MBA in 1997, after studying subjects such as Project Management, Economics, and Marketing. This postgraduate qualification provided him with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of business management.
In the year 2021, Greg engaged in professional development by enrolling in the Company Directors Course offered by the Australian Institute of Company Directors. The program focused on Governance, Strategy, and Risk, providing Greg with updated knowledge and skills in these vital areas.
