Val Sheehan serves as the Chief Executive Officer of CalPACE since October 2022, bringing extensive experience in leadership and program management within nonprofit and public sector organizations. Previously, Val held the role of Senior Vice President & Chief Program Officer at the California Primary Care Association, where responsibilities included articulating and implementing the strategic vision, overseeing fund development, external relations, and member services. Additional roles encompass Director of Development and External Relations, Deputy Director Of Development, and Assistant Director of Programs, along with strategic consulting through Val Sheehan Consulting. Val's career also includes positions at the Public Health Institute, Asian Pacific Fund, Kaiser Permanente, and Futures Without Violence, showcasing a strong background in health education, organizational development, and community health initiatives. Academic credentials include a Certificate in Health Care Administration from UCLA, a Master of Public Health from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Cruz.
