Jacqueline Windisch-Shayer

Jacqueline Windisch-Shayer is a seasoned mental health practitioner with extensive experience in clinical social work. Currently employed at The Brien Center for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Inc., since October 2015, Jacqueline specializes in providing assessments, treatment plans, and individual therapy for individuals facing severe mental illness and associated challenges. Previous roles include serving as an On-Call Crisis Counselor at Capital Counseling, where Jacqueline delivered critical crisis interventions, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Whitney M. Young, Jr Health Center, focusing on patients in an HIV medical clinic. Jacqueline has also worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker with the ACT Team at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, and as a Social Work Supervisor for the ACT Team at North Central Bronx Hospital and Jacobi Medical Center. Jacqueline holds a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in American Civilization/Psychology from SUNY Geneseo.
