Christopher Yancey started their professional career at Vertafore in May 2018, where they held the role of Software Engineer until August 2019. Following this, they joined Equus Software in September 2019 as a Software Engineer and worked there until March 2023. Currently, they work at The Boring Lab as a Software Engineer starting in March 2023.

Christopher Yancey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University. Christopher attended the university from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their degree, they also completed several certifications. In March 2019, they obtained a certification in Deep Learning: Image Recognition from LinkedIn. Prior to that, in June 2018, they obtained certifications in C# Essential Training and JavaScript Essential Training, also from LinkedIn.
