Gaston Mooney has a long and varied work experience. Gaston began their career in 2003 as Manager for Furman Computing and Information Services. In 2006, they moved to the U.S. House of Representatives as a Legislative Correspondent/Systems Administrator. The following year, they worked as a Trip Coordinator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In 2009, they joined Chick-fil-A as part of their Management Development Program. In 2010, they returned to the U.S. Senate as a Legislative Assistant. From 2012-2014, they served as a Policy Advisor, Senate Steering Committee, where they shared staffing duties for 16 Senators and advised on policy and floor procedure, prepared briefing materials, and created and executed legislative and PR strategies. During this time, they also held the role of Executive Editor at Conservative Review. In 2018, they assumed the role of President at Blaze Media.
Gaston Mooney studied cultural effects on political, societal, and vocational landscapes at Falls Church Fellowship. Gaston then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science from Furman University.
