Brad Nygaard is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in photojournalism and reporting. Currently serving as a law enforcement, courts, and public safety reporter for The Bismarck Tribune since September 2023, Nygaard previously worked as a photojournalist and reporter at Journal Publishing from August 2016 to September 2023. Between June 2011 and February 2016, Nygaard held roles as a photojournalist, editor, and truck operator at WREG-TV, demonstrating proficiency in various technologies including "Bonder," "Live U," "TVU," and "Dejero." Additional experience includes serving as the chief photojournalist at ABC 24 WPTY from October 2003 to September 2010 and similar roles at KAKE-TV and WDAZ-TV. Nygaard earned a Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Radio/TV Broadcasting from the University of North Dakota and completed training at the NPPA Television News Workshop in Norman, OK.
