Joshua Rogers has a long and varied work experience. Joshua started their career in 2008, working as a Crew Member at Cold Stone Creamery. In 2009, they were promoted to Shift Leader at the same company. In 2010, they completed an internship at the Cheadle Center of Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, where they gained knowledge of species interactions and research techniques. In 2011, they worked as an Academic Peer Advisor at the UCSB Department of Biology and completed a Research Internship at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. In the same year, they also worked as a Laboratory Technician at EMD Millipore. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Joule Unlimited Technologies, Inc. as a Process Development Engineer and Plant Technician. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Bayer Crop Science as a Pilot Plant Engineer. In 2020, Joshua Rogers began working at The Better Meat Co. as Director of Engineering, Senior Engineer, and Plant Engineer.
Joshua Rogers attended Vista High School from 2004 to 2008. Joshua then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences, General at UC Santa Barbara from 2008 to 2012. In 2013, they obtained a Certificate in Biofuels Science from UC San Diego. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Biofuels Science Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Diego Extension in August 2013.
