Melissa Mitchner serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the New York Institute of Pet Grooming since January 2022 and has been the Founder of The Bark Shoppe since July 2012, where a significant focus has been on employing 80% of team members from the local community and developing a private label product line for pet hygiene. Previously, Melissa held the position of District Administrator at Best Buy from January 2005 to July 2012, overseeing administrative support for human resources and daily operations, and served as a Hiring Training Coordinator. Educational accomplishments include a Master's degree in Secondary Education from Lehman College, a degree in Business Administration from Columbia University, and an Associate of Arts from CUNY Hostos Community College.
