Trif Alatzas began their work experience in 1989 as a reporter for the Democrat and Chronicle. Trif then moved on to The News Journal in 1995, where they worked as a business editor and reporter until 2002. From 2002 to 2009, Alatzas held various positions at The Baltimore Sun, including business editor/deputy business editor and head of sports. Trif then served as head of digital media from 2010 to 2013 before becoming the senior vice president and executive editor from 2013 to 2016. Finally, they took on the role of Publisher & Editor-in-Chief at The Baltimore Sun in 2016.
