Terah Hanna-Sweeting has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 1989, they joined The Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC Business) where they held various managerial positions, including Manager Carriers and Manager, responsible for carrier management and negotiations for CDMA, Wireline, and Submarine Cable services. Terah also served as the Procurement Manager from January 2018 to October 2019. Terah was a Life Member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and held various committee positions from 1987 to 2020. Additionally, they worked at Tremor Technologies as a Colleague from 2005 to 2010. Currently, Terah is unemployed since October 2019.

Terah Hanna-Sweeting received their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Management from St. Augustine's University in Raleigh, NC, where they attended from 1984 to 1988. Terah later pursued an MBA in Management at Nova Southeastern University from 1994 to 1996.
