Melissa Mackenzie is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in publishing, media relations, and healthcare. Currently serving as Publisher at The American Spectator since April 2016, Melissa oversees fundraising and hiring for the influential right-leaning publication, previously holding the role of Managing Editor. Prior to this, Melissa was the Principal at Slingshot Communications, focusing on media relations and brand identity. Melissa also has a diverse background as the Doctor/Owner of the Alternative Health Center of the Woodlands, specializing in complementary and alternative medicine, and as President of Ocean Management, where innovative training methods for doctors were developed.
