Liana Watson, R.T.(R)(M)(S)(BS)(ARRT), RDMS, FASRT, CAE has an extensive work experience spanning over several organizations. Liana currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) since 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Program Manager in Government Affairs at ARRT from 2017 to 2023, where they were responsible for influencing state and federal licensure and payment policies in medical imaging and radiation therapy.

In addition to their role at ARRT, Liana also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at UC Blue Ash College starting in 2020. Liana has also served as the Coordinator for the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) from 2017 to 2023, where they supported ABII diplomates and volunteers in administering the national certification program for imaging informatics.

Before joining ARRT and ABII, Liana worked at the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) from 2009 to 2017. Liana held several positions during their tenure at ASRT, including Associate Executive Director of Operations and Governance & Exec. VP ASRT Foundation, Chief Governance and Development Officer, Vice President of Governance and Member Services, and Director of Governance and Affiliate Relations. Liana'sresponsibilities at ASRT included overseeing governance activities, government relations, management of volunteers, affiliate relations, and member services.

Prior to their work at ASRT, Liana worked at Regional West Health Services from 2005 to 2009, where they served as the Director of Quality Resources and Project Manager. Liana provided leadership for quality improvement initiatives and managed the implementation of systems and process improvement projects.

Liana's career in the healthcare industry began at Regional West Medical Center, where they served as the Assistant Director of Radiology and Supervisor of the Breast Health Center from 2000 to 2005. In these roles, they managed various radiology services and oversaw the operations of the Breast Health Center.

Furthermore, Liana has also been involved with the ASRT as a board member from 1997 to 2001, representing the ASRT House of Delegates. Liana'sexpertise and experience in the field of radiologic technology and imaging informatics make their a valuable asset in their current role as CEO of ARRT.

Liana Watson, R.T.(R)(M)(S)(BS)(ARRT), RDMS, FASRT, CAE has a diverse education history. Liana first pursued their undergraduate studies at Chadron State College from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business and Health Sciences.

Later, Liana attended Baker College Center for Graduate Studies from 2003 to 2004, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Leadership Studies. In 2004, they furthered their education by enrolling in the University of Phoenix, where they pursued a Doctorate of Management (DM) in Organizational Leadership, completing their studies in 2007.

In 2011, Liana attended the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy for three years, until 2014, and obtained a Certificate in Fundraising Management.

Aside from their formal degrees, Liana also holds various certifications. In terms of healthcare certifications, they are registered as R.T.(R)(M)(S)(BS)(ARRT) by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), indicating their proficiency in radiology. Additionally, Liana holds certification as RDMS(AB)(OB)(BR)(NE)(ARDMS) and RVT(VT)(ARDMS) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), demonstrating their expertise in diagnostic medical sonography and vascular technology.

Liana has also obtained several non-healthcare certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, earned in 2005.
