Douglas Ramirez has a diverse work experience in event planning and management. Douglas started their career at Ogilvy & Mather as the Director of Operations for the Discovery Group from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2006, they worked at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research as the Operations Manager for Special Events & Cause Related Marketing. In 2006, they joined GLSEN, Inc. as the Special Events Manager. Douglas then worked as a Freelance Event Planner from 2007 to 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they served as the Special Events Manager at Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Greater New York City. Douglas later joined the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation as the Special Events Manager for the Northeast Region from 2012 to 2014. Subsequently, they joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC as the Director of Special Events from 2014 to 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Special Events at Entertainment Community Fund since 2017.
Douglas Ramirez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy & Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Douglas attended the university from 1989 to 1991.
