Jacquie Genovesi has had a long and successful career at The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. Jacquie started in 1991 as the Vice President of Education and held this role for over 25 years. During this time, they demonstrated their leadership and management skills, building effective teams and increasing funding for the department. In 2020, they took on a new role as the Vice President of the Center for STEAM Equity. More recently, in 2021, they became the Executive Director of the Center for STEAM Equity and a Research Professor at the School of Education at Drexel University.
Jacquie Genovesi holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Educational Leadership and Technology from Drexel University, which they completed in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Liberal Arts (M.L.A.) degree in Environmental Education from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. Their educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology, from Rider University, which they attained in 1991. Jacquie Genovesi has also recently obtained certification in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in November 2022.
