Jason Morley-Smith

Chief Officer, Special Constabulary at Thames Valley Police

Jason joined Thames Valley Police Special Constabulary in 2000 and was appointed Chief Officer of Thames Valley Police Special Constabulary in November 2016.

In 2002 he was awarded an Area Commander's Commendation for saving the life of a member of the public, who had collapsed and was in cardiac arrest. He has also served as the senior special constable for several high profile public events across the force. In 2007 was awarded the title of Thames Valley Police Special Constable of the Year and in 2015 was recognized by Her Majesty the Queen and invested in the Most Venerable Order of St. John of Jerusalem for his services to St. John Ambulance for over 35 years.

Jason has served at every rank in the special constabulary whilst in Thames Valley Police and leads over 500 specials. He is a member of the Association of Special Constabulary Chief Officers (ASCCO) and is the Deputy Regional representative for the South East Forces, where he represents the interests of Thames Valley, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, Sussex and British Transport Police (Southern Region).
