Tristan de Lancey has extensive experience in the publishing industry. Tristan worked as the Creative Director at Thames & Hudson since September 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Illustrated Reference at the same company for over 10 years, where they were responsible for conceiving, commissioning, directing, and delivering original and successful books. Before their time at Thames & Hudson, Tristan worked as a Publisher at The Quarto Group from September 2006 to July 2011. Prior to that, they served as an Art Director at The Quarto Group from September 2001 onwards, where they directed various titles and managed a team of photographers, illustrators, and designers.

From 1992 to 1995, Tristan de Lancey attended the University of York, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English & Related Literature.
