Herbert Ypma has extensive work experience in the field of travel publishing, photography, and art direction. Herbert has worked as an author, photographer, and art director for various companies and has published numerous books on travel, design, and architecture. Ypma has written and photographed books on various destinations including France, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, London, Paris, and others. Herbert is known for their innovative and visually stunning approach to travel publishing. Ypma has also worked as an author and photographer for National Geographic and Assouline Publishing. In addition, they founded and served as the editor and publisher of Interior Architecture Magazine, which garnered international acclaim and awards.
Herbert Ypma completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Adelaide from 1975 to 1977. Prior to that, they attended Adelaide International School (AIS) from 1974 to 1975, where they pursued a degree in Science with a focus on Political Science and Government. Their high school education was completed at Clarkstown South Senior High School from 1968 to 1972, where they specialized in Science.
