Alasdair King is an experienced professional in software development and assistive technology, currently serving as Software Development Manager at Texthelp since September 2022, and previously held the same position at Claro Software, where Alasdair has worked since June 2005 and became Managing Director shortly after joining. Alasdair's career began as a Research Assistant at the University of Manchester from October 2001 to June 2005, focusing on assistive technology for screenreader users and earning a PhD in the field. Prior to this, Alasdair worked as a Product Manager at Virgin Media, enhancing a dial-up ISP service. Alasdair holds a Bachelor's degree in Genetics, a Master of Science in Computation, and a PhD in Assistive Technology, all from the University of Manchester.
