Leah Nelson has had a variety of work experiences throughout their career. Leah started as a Staff Writer/Local Business Beat Reporter for The Hub Weekly from 2005 to 2006. Leah then worked as a Copyeditor for Exhibit City News from February 2012 to November 2013. During this time, they also served as a Senior Editor at Textbroker International from May 2013 to November 2013, and as a Quality Assurance Editor from March 2012 to April 2013. Leah then joined AXS.com as a New Orleans Music Examiner, covering the New Orleans music scene and providing coverage at events like the 2014 Jazz & Heritage Festival from April 2014 to December 2014. Leah subsequently worked at Custom News as a Reporter, where they covered conferences and wrote articles from April 2014 to June 2017. Leah also gained experience as a General Laborer at Eyer Properties from July 2015 to May 2016. Currently, Leah is a Content Writer and Independent Contractor for Textbroker International, a position they have held since May 2015.

Leah Nelson attended Parkland College, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree. Leah also attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign but did not specify a degree or field of study.
