Malú González is an experienced professional in event production and external relations, currently serving as the Director of Board Operations and External Relations at The Texas State University System since April 2022. Previously held positions include Director of External Relations and Development Director, where Malú diversified engagement strategies and produced high-profile fundraising events. Prior to that, experience at Texas Tribune included roles such as Assistant Director of Events, Senior Events Manager, and Events Manager, overseeing the execution of over 50 events annually. In earlier roles, Malú contributed to The Daily Texan and the McCombs School of Business, demonstrating a strong background in communication, social media strategy, and event planning. Malú holds a degree in Corporate Communication from The University of Texas at Austin.
