Desmond Fernandes is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as the SoC & IP Development Manager at Texas Instruments since March 2012. Prior roles at Texas Instruments include Design Manager, SoC Lead, Member Group Technical Staff, and Lead Engineer. Prior to this, Desmond was a Senior ASIC Verification Engineer at SmartPlay Technologies, specializing in ARM subsystem verification and testbench development. Desmond's career began at Sasken Communication Technologies Limited as a Senior ASIC Engineer, focusing on module and subsystem level verification for TI's OMAP chipset. Desmond holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Goa University.
