Zahra K. has a strong background in risk management and compliance. In their most recent role at Texas Health Action, they filled a newly created position as Corporate Risk and Compliance Manager. Zahra built and managed a risk and compliance team and worked closely with organizational leaders to advise on potential risks that could impact the organization's reputation, safety, security, sustainability, and existence.

In this position, they built and implemented the organization's Clinical Risk Management Program and chaired monthly risk management meetings. Zahra also developed and executed monitoring protocols to improve patient safety and drive compliance goals.

Zahra gained valuable experience as a Risk Management Intern at The Risk Authority, Stanford, where they worked closely with the Clinical Risk Management and Claims & Litigation teams. Additionally, Zahra has held roles as a Legal Compliance Intern at NetApp, a Law Clerk at Bay Area Legal Aid, Health Access Unit, and a Summer Associate at Robinson & Wood, Inc.

Zahra's career began with a judicial externship at Santa Clara Superior Court, where they worked under Hon. Socrates Manoukian. Zahra has demonstrated a strong commitment to risk management, compliance, and legal work throughout their career.

Zahra K. pursued their education at Santa Clara University School of Law from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate degree. Prior to that, Zahra attended UCLA from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History.
