J.O. Wilson possesses extensive experience in public safety and emergency response, currently serving as a Deputy with the Harris County Sheriff's Office since October 2021 and previously holding various roles including Captain, EMT, Haz-Mat Tech, and CISM Team Member with the City of Houston since June 2002. J.O. also contributes to the education and development of first responders as an Adjunct Instructor for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service and a Contract Instructor for the National Fire Academy. Previous positions include serving as a Deputy at the Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 1 and working as a Hazardous Materials Technician and Logistics Specialist. J.O. has earned multiple degrees, including a PhD in Human Resource Development and has participated in the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy.
