Nicole Hill has a diverse work experience in various industries. Nicole started their career as an editorial intern at Okahoma Gazette, where they wrote news stories and features. Nicole then worked as a Dow Jones News Fund intern at the Austin American-Statesman, editing copy and writing headlines. Nicole also had an internship at the Student Press Law Center, where they wrote news-features and reported on breaking controversies.

Nicole's experience in journalism continued at The New York Times, where they served as a News Service Editor, compiling budgets and performing editing duties. Nicole then joined the ATX Hack for Change organization as a Communication Lead, managing marketing and promotional efforts for a civic hackathon.

Moving into the publishing industry, Nicole became a book blogger for Barnes & Noble, Inc., writing reviews and roundups for various blogs. Nicole also worked as a Contributor at Book Riot, writing roundups, essays, and book news to promote diverse titles and authors. Nicole served as a "Bibliologist" for Book Riot's Tailored Book Recommendations service.

Nicole's experience in content strategy and management includes roles at St. Edward's University, where they worked as a Client Engagement and Content Strategist, managing the division's content ecosystems. Nicole later became a Product Owner, managing roadmaps and maintenance for the university's websites.

Most recently, Nicole joined Texas AFT as a Digital Organizer, using social media and web content to engage union members and recruit new members. Nicole then became the Lead Digital Organizer, setting strategy and metrics for digital organizing efforts. Nicole currently holds the role of Director of Communications at Texas AFT.

Throughout their career, Nicole has demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and writing skills across various industries.

Nicole Hill earned their Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma from 2007 to 2011. Nicole later pursued a Master's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from St. Edward's University, completing it from 2017 to 2019. Nicole also obtained additional certifications such as "Google Analytics for Beginners" from Google Analytics Academy in April 2019 and several content strategy certificates from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016.
