Mikael van Loon

Mikael van Loon has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Mikael started their career in 2003 at C. K. Cooper & Co. as a Managing Director in the Life Sciences Group. Mikael then founded Four Mile Partners LLC / Four Mile Ventures in 2002, where they served as Founder and Managing Director, providing corporate finance advisory services to emerging enterprises, with a focus on private life sciences companies.

In 2004, Mikael founded Quantitative BioEquities, LLC and served as the Founder & Portfolio Manager, responsible for fundamental analysis, portfolio allocation, and operations of the hedge fund.

Mikael then worked as a Hedge Fund Consultant at Passport Capital from 2008 to 2010, where they assisted in managing the healthcare allocation and developed investment evaluation systems.

From 2010 to 2016, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Domain Development Corporation, a full-scale domain development company.

In 2012, Mikael became the Managing Partner at Townsgate Media, a company focused on building technology and media companies in Orange County and the greater L.A. area, providing capital and shared services to accelerate growth.

From 2013 to 2016, they served as the CEO of InsuranceBrokers.com, a company dedicated to creating tools and resources for independent insurance agents.

In 2016, Mikael took on the role of CEO at MonsterLoans Mortgage, leading a turnaround and reshaping the company until 2020.

Most recently, they joined Proven Mortgage in 2020 as a Division Leader, responsible for the tempo, culture, strategy, and vision of the division, supporting marketing, sales, and operational leaders.

Currently, Mikael holds the position of Senior Vice President at Texana Bank, starting in 2022.

Mikael van Loon attended Boulder High School, although the dates of their enrollment are unknown. Mikael then pursued higher education at the University of Pennsylvania from 1994 to 1999, and concurrently studied at The Wharton School, specializing in Economics and Finance. Mikael obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on Finance.
