Maria Pia Farinella has been working in the software engineering field since 2013. Maria Pia began their career as a freelance web developer, followed by a role as a web and android developer at QKStudio in 2014. In 2015, they moved to Despegar.com as a Java Developer, followed by a Python Developer role at uBiome in 2017. In 2019, they moved to Gentem as a Software Engineer, and currently holds the same role at TestGorilla since 2022. During their time at uBiome, they worked on a HIPAA compliance microservices to support CRUD operations for both doctors and patients, profiles, roles, credentials, etc., built microservices to automate post billing processes, and used Python as a programming language, Flask as a framework, and postgreSQL to store the data. Applications ran on Amazon Web Services on a high availability environment.

Maria Pia Farinella has a diverse educational background. Maria Pia began their studies in 2006 at The English House, where they earned a First Certificate in English. In 2009, they enrolled at Facultad de Informática within Universidad Nacional de La Plata, where they completed a Licenciatura en Sistemas in 2014, an Analista programador universitario in 2013, and a Maestría en Ingeniería de Software in 2019.
