ZHIJIE MA has worked at Tessera Therapeutics since 2022 as a Principal Scientist. Before that, they worked at Entrada Therapeutics as a Scientist from 2021 to 2022. From 2015 to 2021, they were a Research Associate with Dr. Marvin Caruthers at the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow with Dr. Gary Schuster at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015.

ZHIJIE MA pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Xiamen University from 1998 to 2002. They then went on to complete a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Xiamen University between 2002 and 2005, under the guidance of Dr. Jun Tao and Dr. Lansun Zheng. Finally, ZHIJIE MA obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in the field of Chemistry with Dr. Catalina Achim, from 2005 to 2011.
