In Jae (Jason) Chung is a seasoned professional in electronic design engineering, currently serving as the Director of Electronic Design Engineering at Tesla since December 2016. In this role, In Jae oversees board-level EE design for Autopilot, Infotainment, and Sensing devices. Prior to Tesla, In Jae held roles at Apple from January 2011 to December 2016 as a Principal Engineer, focusing on architectural reviews of emerging silicon technologies and contributing to USB-C standard specifications. In Jae's earlier career included positions as a Signal Integrity Engineer at NVIDIA, where responsibilities encompassed design guide ownership and contributions to PCIE Gen 3 specifications, and as a Sr. Design Engineer and CAD intern at other leading companies. In Jae earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds advanced and undergraduate degrees from Seoul National University.
