Simson McCreath PhD CCHEM currently serves as a Member of the RSE Young Academy of Scotland at the Royal Society of Edinburgh since September 2022. As a Senior Product Development Scientist and KTP Associate at Terumo Aortic since April 2019, Simson engages in product development activities. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Laboratory Technician at UWI Technology Limited, where responsibilities involved designing and testing UWI timers, and as a Renewable R&D Chemist at William Grant & Sons, focusing on renewable energy projects. Simson also worked as a Senior Chemist at API Group, specializing in coating and adhesive technologies, and as an Innovation Technician at Polaroid Eyewear. Earlier experience includes a role as a Leisure Attendant for South Ayrshire Council. Academic qualifications include an MSci in Pure and Applied Chemistry and a PhD in Physical Chemistry, both obtained from the University of Strathclyde.
