Thomas Bogdan has extensive work experience in various scientific and advisory roles. Thomas is currently serving as the Chief Science Officer at TerraNexum since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Visiting Scientist at the National Solar Observatory starting from June 2017. Thomas also served as the Senior Advisor at Modscholar from November 2020 to December 2021. From September 2019 to 2021, they held the position of Chief Scientist at the World Sustainability Foundation. Thomas also has experience working with the United States Bureau of the Census, where they held the roles of Census Field Manager from January 2020 to November 2020 and Census Field Supervisor from July 2019 to October 2019. In addition, they worked as a Consultant at Valador Inc. from September 2016 to July 2017. Previously, Thomas held the role of President at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research from January 2012 to July 2015. Before that, they served as the Director of the Space Weather Prediction Center at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration from May 2006 to January 2012. Thomas began their career as a Senior Scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, where they worked from October 1983 to May 2006.
Thomas Bogdan completed their education history with a Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Chicago, graduating between 1979 and 1983. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. degree in Physics from the University at Buffalo, starting in 1975 and graduating in 1979. Thomas'ssecondary education includes a New York State Regents Diploma in Physical Sciences from Pembroke Junior-Senior High School, which they obtained between 1969 and 1975.
