Karn Manhas is the Founder and Executive Chair of Terramera, an organization focused on using technology to enhance natural resources for healthier living and sustainable food production since January 2010. Manhas has also served as a TEDx Speaker, addressing the psychological implications of bed bug infestations in May 2016. Previous roles include Partner at Karyon Group from May 2005 to October 2011, Member of the Board of Trustees for Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation from September 2005 to December 2008, and Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Government of British Columbia from May 2001 to May 2005. Additionally, Manhas founded Intricit Media, a startup software company, from 1999 to 2001. Educational qualifications include a LEAD program from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a J.D. in Law from The University of British Columbia, and a B.Sc. in Biology (Genetics) and Biotechnology from McGill University, along with studies in Liberal Arts and Sciences at The University of British Columbia and other educational institutions.
