Robert Gilmour has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Robert began their career as a Placement Student at Sterling Hydraulics in July 2004. Following this, in July 2005, they worked as a Design Engineer (Summer Placement) at Multikwik Ltd.
In October 2007, Robert joined Terex Corporation as a Quality Engineer and subsequently transitioned into the role of Design Engineer in June 2008. Robert then took on the position of Quality Engineer in December 2009 and later became a Design Engineer again in June 2011.
Robert's career at Terex Corporation progressed further as they assumed the role of Global Strategic Sourcing Hydraulics from March 2017 to December 2018. Robert then worked as a Senior Design Engineer from April 2014 to September 2020.
From May 2019 to September 2020, Robert served as a Costings Engineer (Maternity Cover) before being promoted to Senior Costings Engineer in September 2020. As of March 2023, they are currently employed as a Lead Research and Development Engineer at Terex Corporation.
Robert Gilmour obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath. Robert attended the university from 2002 to 2007. In November 2017, they obtained the certification of Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
