Timo Vaahtera is an experienced automation and maintenance engineer currently employed at Teollisuuden Voima Oyj since June 2011, where primary responsibilities include the administration and enhancement of Process Computer Systems in nuclear power plants. Previous positions include System Specialist at DNA Oy from June 2007 to June 2011 and Telecommunication Operator at Lännen Puhelin Oy from May 2002 to June 2007. Timo Vaahtera began a career in telecommunications as a trainee at Teollisuuden Voima Oy in early 1999, focusing on office network administration and maintenance. Timo Vaahtera holds a Master of Science degree in Management and Information Technology from Tampere University, obtained in November 2019, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (1999-2003), and a degree in Mechanic, Automation from Rauman Ammatti-instituutti (1995-1998).
