Ileana Cruz-Marden

Deputy Director For The Americas & Global Strategy at Tent Partnership for Refugees

Ileana Cruz-Marden is the Senior Manager of Private Sector Partnerships at Tent Partnership for Refugees. Ileana has dedicated their career to helping others and empowering underrepresented communities.

Ileana started their career as a Project Coordinator at USA for UNHCR. In this role, they helped to coordinate partnerships and projects aimed at helping refugees. Ileana then took on the role of MBA Prep Fellow at Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT). In this role, they provided guidance and strategy to high-potential Black, Latinx, and Native American professionals navigating the MBA application process.

Ileana then joined 100 Resilient Cities - Pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation as part of the City Resilience Delivery Team. In this role, they worked with cities around the world to help them become more resilient to shocks and stresses. Ileana then joined Tent Partnership for Refugees, where they are currently the Senior Manager of Private Sector Partnerships. In this role, they work with businesses to help them support refugees through employment, investment, and other means.

Ileana Cruz-Marden has a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton University in the field of International Development. Ileana also has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras in Political Science with a focus on International Relations and Comparative Politics. Ileana has also completed an Academic Internship Semester in U.S. Foreign Policy in the 21st Century at The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. Lastly, they did a Semester Exchange Program in Political Science and Government at Universidad de Salamanca.

Ileana Cruz-Marden reports to Veronica Rossini, Director, Marketing and Communications. They work with Juan Blanco - Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives, Yaron Schwartz - Senior Manager of Private Sector Partnerships, and Andreas Wolter - Associate Director for Global Partnerships, Lead for Europe.
