Project Lead - Large Offshore Projects - 2 GW HVDC Program at TenneT

Ashish Bangar has a diverse work experience in the field of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems. Ashish is currently working as a Project Lead for Large Offshore Projects at TenneT TSO B.V. Their responsibilities include overseeing a 2 GW HVDC program.

Prior to this, Ashish worked as a Project Manager for HVDC projects at Tractebel Engineering Gmbh. In this role, they managed the Ethiopia-Kenya HVDC project, which involved multiple contractors and contracts.

Before that, Ashish served as an Associate Technical Director at Arcadis, where they provided expert services in HVDC and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS). Ashish also played a key role in business development activities and bid document preparation.

Ashish's experience also includes working as a Principal Engineer at Rongxin Power Engineering, where they led the design and delivery of HVDC projects and supervised junior team members. Ashish was also involved in the design and delivery of a STATCOM project in India.

Earlier in their career, Ashish worked as a System Development Engineer at National Grid, where they focused on offshore and onshore renewables, grid code compliance, and HVDC system analysis. Ashish also participated in industry working groups and contributed to DC offshore grid documents.

Ashish started their career at Power Grid Corporation of India limited as a Manager. Ashish was involved in HVDC project feasibility studies, technical specification development, bid evaluation, and detailed design review.

Overall, Ashish has extensive experience in managing and delivering HVDC projects, technical leadership, and collaborating with different stakeholders.

Ashish Bangar completed a Master of Science (MS) in Power System Engineering from The University of Manchester between 2011 and 2013. Ashish also earned a degree in Electrical engineering, specifically an AMIE, from The Institution Of Engineers between 1990 and 1993.
