Hendrell Remus currently serves as the Chair and State Executive Committeeman for the Tennessee Democratic Party, a role held since April 2020. Previously, Hendrell was the Executive Director of Emergency Management at Tennessee State University from January 2018 to February 2024, and also held the position of Assistant Director of Emergency Management at the same institution. Earlier in Hendrell's career, a role as Security Operations Manager was filled at Allied Universal from September 2014 to January 2018. Hendrell is an alumnus of Excelsior University.
