Maykel Orozco Monteagudo has been working in the software engineering and development industry since 2002. Maykel began their career as an Auxiliary Professor, Assistant and Instructor at the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas, where they taught undergraduate and graduate courses such as Object Oriented Programming, Logic of Programming, Probabilities, Statistics, and Medical Informatics. Maykel also worked as an Image Processing Researcher, developing algorithms for segmentation and classification of Digital Pathology images, and C/C++ conversion and testing of Digital Pathology algorithms written in Matlab.

In 2015, Maykel Orozco Monteagudo joined Inspirata, Inc. as a Software Developer and Scientist. In this role, they were responsible for C/C++ implementation and testing of algorithms to be used in Matlab. In 2019, they moved to Tenerum, LLC, where they have been working as a Software Engineer.

Maykel Orozco Monteagudo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Universidad Central de Las Villas in 2002, followed by a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same university in 2006.
