Gustavo A. DÃaz has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Gustavo A. began their career as a Calculus Assistant at the University of Buenos Aires before joining IBM as a Trainee. Gustavo A. then worked as an Analyst at the Pérez-Companc Group, where they focused on software development and CAD training.
DÃaz went on to work at Philips Electronics as a Trainee, conducting research on audio sub-band coding and digital audio compression. Gustavo A. then moved to MetroRED Telecomunicaciones, where they served as the IT & IDC Director and later as the IT Director (CIO), overseeing Data Center operations and implementing critical systems.
DÃaz then joined Telmex Argentina as the DCS Manager, managing Data Center Services and leading infrastructure and customer solutions projects. Gustavo A. later joined Tenaris, where they held various roles, including Technology Director, Information Security Senior Director, and Industrial Cybersecurity Senior Project Director. In these roles, they led global cybersecurity programs, developed IT strategies, and managed teams and projects.
Currently, DÃaz is the Information Security Senior Director (CISO) at Tenaris, where they are responsible for the company's information security strategic plan and oversees security operations. With their extensive experience in information security and technology management, DÃaz has played crucial roles in improving cybersecurity postures and implementing innovative solutions throughout their career.
Gustavo A. DÃaz has an extensive education history. Gustavo A. started their academic journey in 1970 at Watford School & Villa Devoto School, where they completed their elementary education in a bilingual (Spanish-English) program. Gustavo A. then attended León XIII from 1977 to 1982, where they earned a degree in Electromechanic Technician, which is equivalent to a high school qualification. Continuing their studies, from 1983 to 1989, they attended the University of Buenos Aires and obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering, which is equivalent to a Master's degree. In 1990-1991, they pursued further education at the Eindhoven University of Technology, specializing in Electronic Engineering. Lastly, from 1993 to 1994, they enrolled in the Universidad de Belgrano and completed coursework towards an MBA, with the thesis pending.
