Scott Melzer is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in business development within the life sciences sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Business Development, Life Science Research at Tempus Labs, Inc., Scott leads a significant initiative focused on consolidating divisions to enhance sales to academic medical centers, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies. Prior roles include Vice President of Business Development for Sequencing at Tempus Labs, where Scott oversaw a $50MM+ team, and Vice President of Business Development at Tecan, contributing to the advancement of automated laboratory solutions. Earlier positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific included management of a $33 million region as Regional Sales Director, leading to recognition as a top-performing region. Scott holds an MBA in Marketing/Finance from DePaul Driehaus College of Business and a B.A. in Biology from Miami University.
