Nathan Standifer has a diverse work experience in the biomedical field. Nathan is currently working as the Executive Director of Translational Science at Tempest Therapeutics since April 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at AstraZeneca from 2017 to 2022, including Group Director, Associate Director, Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist. In these positions, they developed and implemented flow cytometry-based biomarker assays, analyzed and interpreted biomarker data from clinical trials, and supported the operation of bioanalytical science laboratories. Before joining AstraZeneca, Nathan worked at Amgen as a Scientist from 2009 to 2014, where they designed assays, analyzed and interpreted biomarker data, and qualified single-cell gene expression technologies. Nathan also served as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Benaroya Research Institute from 2003 to 2009.
Nathan Standifer's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of North Texas, which they completed from 1990 to 1995. Following this, from 1995 to 2002, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and Immunology at UT Health San Antonio.
