Jin Tomioka has held a number of positions in the past 15 years. From 2004 to 2009, they were a Manager at Mitsubishi Financial and Consulting, and an Officer at the Structured and Project Finance Team. In this role, they conducted investment evaluations of ship and aircraft assets and advised management on M&A, and carried out comprehensive financial analysis of deal structure and contract valuation to arrange project finance for several oil & gas projects. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Deputy Team Leader at the Global Environment & Infrastructure Business Development Group. In this role, they supervised 11 professionals, and was responsible for structuring and executing Mitsubishi's principal investments in the clean energy industry. Jin also led their team to structure and execute a 150 M$ equity investment in a 600 M$ onshore wind power generation project in Mexico, provided their team the tax, financial analysis and accounting advice for Mitsubishi's equity investments in a 500 M$ solar power generation project in Thailand, led their team to develop a business strategy for Mitsubishi to go into the European power transmission sector, and developed and executed equity investments and tax structuring for M&A deals of 900 M$ undersea power grids systems in the UK and a 1. In 2015, they were a Director of Marketing at Geodesic Capital. From 2016 to 2017, they were the Managing Director at Syn. Holdings, where they led a project of developing virtual reality (VR) live streaming platform with real-time interactive communication applications, directed business development and corporate alliances with potential content providers in Japan and Asia, and made investment decisions in the spaces of compression technologies in VR live streaming, eye tracking systems, haptics, and any technologies enhancing UI/UX in VR. Finally, from 2017 to present, they have been the Co-Founder & CEO of Telexistence Inc. in Tokyo, where they lead a multi-national team with professional backgrounds in biz dev, mechanical, electric, control, motion planning, VR, machine learning, etc.
Jin Tomioka attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2013 to 2014 and obtained a Master's Degree. Prior to that, they attended Binghamton University School of Management from 2002 to 2004, studying Finance.
