Zahra Abbas has extensive work experience in the field of research and academia, primarily focused on immunology and cancer research. Zahra is currently working as a PhD candidate at the Telethon Kids Institute, where they specialize in the immunology of pediatric brain tumors, immunotherapy, and the development of novel animal models for pediatric cancer research. In addition to their role as a PhD candidate, they are also a Research Assistant at the institute.
Prior to their current positions, Zahra worked as a Laboratory Demonstrator at The University of Western Australia starting in February 2022. Zahra also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the same university from March 2018 to December 2019.
Zahra Abbas completed their education in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. In 2014, they enrolled at The University of Western Australia to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree, specializing in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology. Zahra completed this degree in 2016. Zahra then continued their education at the same university and obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours, First Class) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2017.
