Hugo Chouinard, P.Eng. is a seasoned professional in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the Director of Systems Solutions at Telesat since 2016. In this role, Hugo leads systems engineering efforts for the next generation LEO constellation, focusing on SATCOM competitive analysis, service definition, and technology evaluation. Prior to Telesat, Hugo worked at Nokia from 2007 to 2016, where responsibilities included managing smartphone feature quality related to user experience and acting as the System Test Architect for WCDMA. Hugo began a career at Nortel Networks from 2002 to 2006 as a technical team leader, overseeing integration and verification for WCDMA systems. Hugo holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
